Memory, a scent that lingers 
Long after the door closes.
Like a haunting melody
Stretching through
The rolling fabric of space,
Connecting past and future
Into a present pattern,
So that if we are aware, 
We may pick those individual
Threads of light,
To create the weave 
Of a monumentally
Instrumental life.
And we may move
In undulating waves
To the rhythm of a sound
That in its profound silence
Shifts reality
And alters dreams.

In this way we may forget
The compelling sillage
Of our aching need,
And lean towards more
Subtle impressions.
Impressions that never fade.

Even after the lightest touch,
Their indelible imprints remain...
