A very TIGHTS spot

Folk who know my style, know that I relate occurrences in rhyme whenever something happens that inspires me to share it, so here I am again in a situation that prompts me to tell all in my usual amusing way, and this one was written because of the reason why I had to return an item of (women's) underclothing to a famous cut-price clothes store, and how I had a member of staff in absolutely stitches - she was bent double with laughter, you had to be there (it's the way I tell 'em!). This is definitely what I describe as a 'woman thing' meaning, it's a 'thing' that most often only relates to women who have had this experience many a time, much like having to haul up one's bra-strap several times a day, we women know all about things like this.

And by the way in case anyone is wondering, I couldn't return the actual item I wore as by the time I got home it was in shreds, but I'd bought several boxes of the item in question, so I returned them. Read on to understand what I'm going on about and picture it in your mind, and you have permission to have a little titter at my expense.

A very TIGHTS spot

I made a woman laugh today, chuckling hard with all her might

Telling her in my own way, how I found myself in a spot most tight

I’d bought panty hose the day before, it said XL on the label

However hard I tried, I swore, to get them on I wasn’t able

I pulled and I tugged and prayed for strength

So ardent and desperate my wretched pleas

With much ado, and going to great lengths

My legs into those tights, I tried to squeeze

But it was no mean feat, not the end of it all

There’s more to this story, it wasn’t a breeze

The tights it seemed were clearly too small

I only managed to get them up, just past my knees

So off down the road, to my dismay I find

The tights are slipping and so are my knickers

I’ve now got myself in a bit of a bind

I could do harm to old men, with dodgy tickers

Panicking, my undies continue to slip to the ground

And making that lady laugh wasn’t my intent

However, adding to this, I soon quickly found

My frank and candid story was a hilarious event

She understood my crisis, and she sympathised no end

But the story had her cracked up about my undergarment plights

She agreed to swap the sizes, not wanting to offend

While still tickled by the tale of the errant pair of tights

I very much enjoyed this! Just the right mix of delicate suggestiveness and whimsical allusion (speaking as an old man with a dodgy ticker) to tickle the imagination and bring on a big smile in a single (fibrillated) heartbeat. I'll have to return for more (if my Beta Blockers will allow it), hee-hee. -K2

Dear Pearl,
You are one talented young lady with a very funny story to tell.
Not sparing any of the details, you tell it poetically well!
Have a happy and healthy New Year filled with love and blessings from above! 💝!

I guess women would understand, but I don't understand if they were too tight, how could they even begin to "slide down," unless of course they had the sudden release of splitting. Regardless whether it's a man or woman, when something is too tight and splits when one bends over, laughter is assured around. In this case, I'm trying to imagine you walking, with pantyhose sliding down your knees and therefore, hobbling you so that you would walk rather awkward and the errant pantyhose could be clearly seen as the villain.

Sometimes I think that no undies is better than bad undies.

A very cute story,
and you told it well.
Tight pantyhose,
is no place to dwell.
