I saw the rising sun bathe a gum in golden light,
I heard screeching cockies in early morning flight,
Magpies calling, to usher in the morn
Kookaburras laughingto greet another dawn.
A gentle breeze is blowing rustling through the leaves,
Smaller birds are twittering in surrounding trees
I watch the sunlight creeping bright across the lawn
And revel in the beauty of an earliy morning dawn.
Leaves a turning colour , into reds and golden browns
Drifting oh so gently, right down to the ground
The sun has shed its summer heat, the sky is azure blue,
Plants are starting to revive, now that summers through.
Lawns are turning greener awaiting opening rain,
A nd so the seasons change around in their turn again
Pasing each in sequence They never seem to rest
But give me Autmn any time, it’s the season I like best.
As I said once before, it seems that we have all but lost Autumn up here in the north. Is it pollution, greenhouse effect or what I don't know but I miss it nonetheless...enjoy what you have & thanks for these special writes about other places, I really do enjoy reading them...peace, Ed & rufuz
