Very descriptive, sounds like some people I know!!! I don't think we have any Bristle Pine Cone trees here, unless they are in Botanic or private gardens, but we see solitary windswept trees up on the North Yorkshire moors that have a similar appearance, in that they are windswept, twisted and gnarled, sometimes stunted and deformed.
