MY MISTAKE
I bought a pig in a poke.
It’s worthless as tits on a boar.
With no redeemable value,
It’s rotten to the core.
I’ve thrown good money after bad,
And robbed Peter to pay Paul.
I’ve beaten a dead horse,
And smashed my head against a brick wall.
It’s an albatross around my neck.
It’s a sad affair.
A lost cause,
It’s neither here nor there.
It’s worse than nothing.
Devoid of content.
It’s dead wood,
Not worth a red cent.
I’m going nowhere fast.
The best laid plans often go awry.
When there’s nowhere to go but down,
It’s best to let sleeping dogs lie.

You just wrote the story of my life. So glad we are traveling in the same groove! And it looks like you got your muse back with this very creative and funny rhyme of old sayings.

But like I said,"I’m going nowhere fast. But we got to make each moment last!" I really this time-out away from this reality nonsense! Thank you for the break! LOL John Michael

And just lay down and sleep along with them. Enjoyed this forward-moving rhythmic and true-to-life comment on life. Enjoyed as always, perhaps more during these times. Thanks, Michael.
