The rain cascades from in the sky
The stom it lives foreswear to die
And all of nature breathes a sigh
As earth and Heaven renew tie
The clouds they are a sullen grey
And it has come the stormy day
And nature has yes had its way
The rain has fallen on this day
The rain cascades from in the sky
The storm it lives foreswear to die
The thunder booms the lightning flies
And mortals ask one question...why
The clouds they are a sullen gray
And it has come this stormy day
The elements come out to play
And wash the heat for while away
The rain has fallen on this day
How long I ask is this to stay
Ron, I have too much respect for Brook Benton and Tony Joe White, 2 great poets than to do anything like that, although I could if I wanted to,( and I caught you looking!)
