Denizens Michael Emery and Candida Eittreim were diametrically opposed on this political Armageddon. But.. some things are above politics, cant and xenophobia. In a spirit of hope, we conjoin in universal condemnation of such atrocity.

Michael Emery and Candida Eittreim are lifelong supporters of the USA, but have finally seen the light, and it isn't over Washington or Whitehall..

We weep over the broken reeds trampled by greed and hate.

Heaven wept today

at the sounds of children screaming,

mangled torn bodies

lying gracelessly in the rubble

while quiet men, dined

in marbled palaces.



Heaven wept today,

seeing the cowardly kill the innocent

in His name,

the smell of blood and fear

hanging heavily in the dusty air,

while the serpents slink in the shadows,

killing in His name.


The very earth screams its outrage,

at the horror wrought upon it

by the greed and malice

of pious men

dining peacefully

with clean bloodless hands.


He wept today..

at the mindless blind thirst for power

that has avariced such horror on an

ancient land,

listening to the moans of the dying

and the endless wailing of grief.


Such righteous men...

East and West,

bearing His Name as their banner,

their shield,

to justify their tearing our world apart.


Not men enough,

these gods at trough,

to bloody their hands in the piety

and righteousness of their cause.



They rape our world indifferently,

with such soft clean hands..

these moral hypocrites,

holding God hostage

as justification,

for a sin they can never amend
