My Computer is Snoozing

My computer is snoozing

Tried to wake her up but she’s refusing

Blackmailed her, bribed her, threatened her, clearly I am losing

This little charade I find no longer amusing

For my love for her I see she has been abusing

What I did wrong I don’t even know

That she was angry she never did once show

Between us there was never even the slightest row

AD, Jill Scott, Southern Comfort, we did it all together in tow

Seeds of discontent I wonder how and when she did sow

I think she now believes she’s Snow White

Waiting for a kiss from her Prince Charming at night

Tried some technicians, turns they were all frogs that bite

Snoozing and not even stretching a muscle she does it so right

Snoring away you’d think she’s never seen the light

So tight is my schedule at work

Memories of the AD I so try to block

When I get home my misery I know she does mock

Tempts me she does to lock her away until she is a crock

God help me away I don’t have her away locked

The little hussy my touch she doesn’t even miss

To realize the feeling isn’t mutual off it does piss

Shouldn’t see me angry lest she decides to sleep forever in bliss

Maybe I should go out every night and get pissed!

While I wait til she gets that bloody kiss

Oh how well us writers love our computers and would be lost without it. My computer slows down sometimes but she wakes back up too. We wear them out and must give them a break so i let her sleep at night and touch her in the morning.

At least trading in a computer isn't like trading in a man for a bit of solace and sanity! (LOL)

So that's why I have not heard from you...
Well I'll be your computers Prince Charming (Janet will not mind me kissing a computer I'm sure) or better still as Prince Charmings are pretty but useless in a crisis, and as it is only hair dye that keeps me from looking decidedly grey, I'll be Gandalf.
If you can get access to e-mail, mail me the symptoms; i.e. black screen but power light on, illuminated screen but Windows will not start.
Oh and get a friend to make you a start up floppy for your system so we can start you in safe mode and hunt the nasties.
This might take time (but we have 3000 miles to cross) but should not be difficult. There really isn't that much can go wrong with them you know.
best

Maybe a planter she should be,
Or better yet a hatchery for fish in the sea,
You might have to wait an awfully long time,
To see her change herself into a pot of the variety crock,
But your problem here, as it is for so many,
Is definitely no crock,
Every so often we all do experience same,
The only thing we can do is unplug her to remain sane...ED

I have a computer which I seldom suspect to be a human being. It has a human character. It sometimes lies. Thanbks for this wonderful offering.

Thank you for sharing your humor and your wit, Sandie. I've experienced that of which you write but for the past six years now, with a bit up tweaking, mine has been very faithful (LOL). Thank you.

JUST LOVE THIS!! I would be delighted if you would like to read my own version of similar sentiments: "Whisper" - much less artful and less absorbing than this poetic piece, Sandie, but we all have our ways and means with our "beautiful beasties", I guess! Me and mine have a mutual understanding: that we don't understand each other mutually! :)) LOL Kate xx

The computers are 50/50 good and bad
The first 50% say: but they do help you get the job done, chat sometimes, read sandra's poetry and others too, communicate worldwide, music listening cheer you up, having friends from HI5 and lots of other good things.
The rest 50% say: but they are still a pain when they are corrupted replacing hard disk means you loose everything and on top of that you LOOSE MONEY TOO.

Sandra,

I have a love/hate relationship with the computer. Most of the time, they're great. But at times, they are a major pain in the ass (let alone the fingers). But where would we be without 'em!

An excellent rant--well done! Glad you can see the humor in having one.
