I agree with Ed and Rufuz, sometimes, we all need a little cheering. Though, picturing little Eddie nekkid in the bushes...lol..lol...really did it for me! err..ahem...Here are my efforts at one of those "happy little ditties".

I gave the world a song today
I gave the world a smile
And something magic happened
That I’d not seen in quite a while

Faylee the fairy appeared just then
And sprinkled stardust all around
She started in the heavens
Then spread it on the ground

And everywhere the stardust fell
A wondrous sight I saw
Mystical little fairy creatures
Not more than three inches tall

Held hands all in unison
While dancing merrily
Singing happy smiley songs
And for all the world to see

Not since I was a child had I
Seen Faylee and her friends
I couldn’t help but ask just how
Puff the magic dragon had been.

She said he still visits Honolee
But since Jackie had become a man
Puff now plays with other children
In far away distant lands.

Now we must leave, Faylee said
And don’t wait such a long while
To greet the world as you did today
With such a song and smile.

For that is what can bring us here
With all the magic we possess
To spread our charm, and love, and joy
To he who smiles and sings his best.
