With so many songs written, and so few of them hits, it's hard to write an original song these days. Probably why most successful singers rely heavily on highly orchestrated performances rather than the quality of their songs. With AI coming along, writing songs to meet the current needs of the paying audiences of younger people, songwriters may be out of business in a very few years.

IT IS A SHAME WHEN ONE THINKS ABOUT IT; WORDS THAT FLOWED SINCERELY FROM HUMAN HEARTS AND EMOTIONS THAT GAVE HUMANITY WHAT IT NEEDED, ESPECIALLY IN OUR HISTORY'S 'TRYING TIMES'...WILL NOW BE COMING FROM UNFEELING AND UNCARING...TECHNOLOGICAL IRON!!! This is beautiful Ron, but there are songs yet to be written! I love the Nike commercial just do it, and in our case just write it!

A witty piece, Ron. You capture the songwriter�s dilemma with humor and a touch of resignation, and the refrain works beautifully as both truth and satire. The nod to Willie Nelson gives it charm, and the closing lines smile. A fun, clever reflection on creativity in an age overflowing with songs.

Which is exactly why we hear of legal cases charging someone with copyright infringement. A frustrating time for songwriters of all genres.
