There was a boy with a whole in his head
That's what I said,  a whole in his head
He spent his life wishin' he were dead
and everyone knew,  thanks to that whole in his head

One day he went a walkin' and his head began a shoutin'
"I can't wait for good lord Jesus to take my life away."
The shrink that was a listenin' began himself a thinkin'
"I wonder what could make this boy feel in such a way"

So he set up an appointment to see what he could find
The boy came in,  sat right down,  and his head began to whine,
"These psycho-analytic freaks sure are a waste of time"
The shrink was quite a bit unnerved and poured himself some wine

Old shrink calmed down,  wiped his brow,  and listened to his story
He found the boy an only child with a dead mother named Lori
His head piped in and let them know that all of this was boring
The shrink soon found that with this head there wasn't any lying

When the tale was done and the boy got up, the shrink was almost crying
The head asked him if he understood now why he felt like dying
That poor shrink just nodded,  pulled a knife and began himself a slittin'
Now I'm not sure what that head said,  but it must've been convincin'
