But the droppings
Of a visiting pest
My son saw one
He too thought not fun
And joined my battling mice quest
We set out every trap
We could buy from Wal-Mart
We checked all the time
But nothing was seen
Except cheese removed
And peanut butter licked off
These mice are smart and clean
Lynn, try this, it worked for me. Take aluminum foil, wad it up and place it in all the cracks where you think them pesky varmits sneak in. Mice hate the foil, they are somehow repulsed by its presence.
I remember them eating the traps clean. Gave up and called the exterminator. He put bait "hotels". That took care of the problem, along with routine exterminator spraying.
There are traps that capture them live so you can release them in someone else's area. LOL A box designed so they go in the hole but can't get out. Catches multiples and there's no need for bait.
Or, get a five gallon bucket, paint three inches below the rim on the inside with peanut butter, set a board sloping from the floor so they can access the rim. Four inches of water in the bottom insures they don't jump out.
