1946 Chug Chug

I guess we all drive different models, but the one we get assigned is too precious to part it out early, especially if we want to go cruising this spring.

 

 

A 1946 model,

pop a few pills

under the hood

to keep it fine-tuned,

some E, some C,

daily CoQ10,

a balanced senior formula

plus good fuel,

and regular use,

don’t rev it up

much anymore,

already did

too much of that,

still tight in the chassis,

differential grinds at times,

exhaust a little leaky,

but they all get that way,

kind of grumps and groans,

at start-up time,

purrs along

when treated well,

just got to know

how to handle it,

warranty's running out

in just eight years,

the big three-score and ten,

and God doesn't

take trade-ins,

chug, chug.

I have this '54 that really puts out the stinkies, especially after an early morning start up...as normally it doesn't like to get started till afternoon when the sun has time to warm up its erl...;-)

Hey, Jerry! Keep chugging that '46 model and you may even catch up to my '34 model. Pop the right pills and keep chuggin' and that three score and ten will, hopefully, pass without a major breakdown.
