On this day,

a life was lost.

On a rocky hill,

on a wooden cross.

The earth quaked

and the heavens shook;

Did anyone notice?

Did anyone look?

A temple fell,

 It was rendered asunder.  Lightening streaked and the sky boomed thunder.

Far above and beyond the skies; pride, joy and sorrow join as heaven sighs.

Oh what sorrow must have been felt; what a horrible hand, to your Son, have dealt.

No greater gift, his only begotten Son; our salvation was granted where there could

have been none.

Upon the earth,

No darker day.

He came because

He had to, to

Show us the way.

Even his life could

End but in death.

But the miracle

Unfolds at the

Very next step.

Such a horrible

Deed, it had to

Be done.  For

In such a death

Our victory

Was won.
