Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me ... DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT.
sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. i believed the lies as i felt each stone thrown and cowered beneath the stick beating my self esteem into the ground. even though THEY never laid a fist on me, i wish they had beaten me black and blue. you see, bruises fade in time. what they did and said left scars. instead, i felt each word tear pieces in my soul and break my heart again and again. deep wounds that have taken me a lifetime to get over.

The wounds run deep sometimes into skeletal tears, felt the emotion vibrate your verse.

When I was in grade school, I was constantly having to protect someone from bullies. They can be most vicious. Only now am I seeing many people taking up the cause against bullies and I hope that in the future with the use of our powerful media, all bullies will be found out for you they are… people of such low self-esteem that they only get it from tormenting others.

I'm glad that you are able to… write it out.

I'm older than you but what you write is so true.
It takes a lifetime to undo the damage of verbal emotional abuse.

Powerful words that evoke pain and suffering on the psyche and heart and soul of all those who have been the victim of bullying or unkind words! Very well written; NOBODY should ever have to endure this hell!
