What will the future hold for the children of Monrovia?

The sound of children crying,
Tears of fear and sorrow,
Will there ever be tomorrow?
For the children of Monrovia.

I saw my parents dying,
Brothers were slain,
In front of my eyes,
Cruel and inhumane.

They laughed as we scream,
Torched and burnt our houses,
Broke down our spirits to pieces,
But they called this justice.

M16, renegades, missiles,
Brought people to exile,
I am now a refugee
In another country.

Where is my freedom?
No bed to call my own,
No one to share my fear,
Tomorrow i must pack my bags,
I'll be send back to Monrovia.

By the time you finish my story,
I will be another worthless soul in the land of Monrovia.
