A word of contemplation for the household of faith
What have you learned? What do you discern?
Is your vision mottled? Still needing milk from a bottle?
What things so easily distract when the word of God is holy and exact? Pick up your cross and follow Me, love one another so the world may see
A disciple you are meant to be, take up your cross and follow Me!
First count the cost, what does it take to win the lost?
Have you a heart filled with love for Me
Are you committed to My truth in loyalty?
Not religion, or ritual or even service but obedience to My Holy Spirit devoted in worship
But be a cheerful giver with a heart of understanding
So that when the winds of strife do blow you will still be standing!
What have you learned? For what are you searching?
Do you seek after Me with longing and yearning?
Do you really know what is evil and what is good?
Do you obey My word as you should?
Do you know your assignment? And just how is your time spent?
Not pointing any fingers, I'm just saying... about what things and to whom are you praying?
Are you a witness of God's holy truth? A Christ-like example for our frustrated youth?
You may be satisfied with Jesus but is Jesus satisfied with you? Have you considered your life from His point of view?
I beg you to take the time to review and redeem the time
One day these questions will be answered with eternity in mind
This earth is not our home, we're just passing through
When the final judgment comes... what will Jesus say to you?

GIVING UP THE REINS, SO TO SPEAK, IS NOT EASY. HUMAN NATURE ALWAYS WANTS TO HOLD ONTO 'SOME CREDIT' FOR OUR SURVIVAL. BUT UNTIL WE FALL TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH OUR REDEEMER AND SURRENDER ALL WE WILL ALWAYS CONSIDER OUR CROSS...A TRIAL. WE CANNOT FOLLOW CHRIST BECAUSE THE WORD SAYS FOLLOW CHRIST. THE WORD OF GOD IS A MAP WHICH DIRECTS US TO GOD AND IN THE BEGINNING WE DO WHAT THE WORD SAYS TO DO. BUT IN ORDER TO LIVE A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING TO GOD WE MUST COME TO THE POINT WHERE WE SERVE HIM BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM. WE LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM. WE DON'T DO THE THINGS WE USED TO DO BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM. WE REFUSE TO TURN AROUND BECAUSE WE'VE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THE KING OF KINGS AND ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF HIM WOULD BE A WASTE OF TIME. THE LONGER WE KNOW HIM THE MORE WE FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM AND THE EASIER IT IS TO CARRY OUR CROSS, WHICH BECOMES A HONOR AND A PRIVILEGE TO DO, AS PAUL STATED IN PHIL 3:7-8. OF COURSE, TEARS WILL BE SHED, BURDENS WILL BE BORNE BUT I AM REMINDED OF ROMANS 8:33-39. SO THEN...NO CROSS, NO CROWN. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
This poem searches the soul, my soul. I am not worthy. Perhaps I will be tomorrow. Thank you for the lift. It's what I needed to go forward with His Journey, the journey HE has for me. Amen

Wow, Judith, you know how to confront believers, no stumbling around, but directly and lovingly! An excellent set of questions to ask oneself, after first asking the Lord to give discernment and desire to live His way. Is Jesus satisfied with me? I need to ask Him today!
