The Cost of Salvation was no bargain buy.

No bargain buy - no bartering
There was a high price to pay in Gethsemane
There the manifestation of both human and divine
Weighed heavily on Jesus's mind

He asked those close to him to watch and pray
But they drifted off to sleep and did not obey

In deep agony Jesus prepared for the time
He'd take on the sins of the world - yours and mine

And just as we do, Jesus had a choice
Would he refuse the assignment and lift up His voice?

He could do that you know
and angels would have come
To usher Him from earth to His heavenly home

Yet, with blood dripping through his sweat and intense agony
He became the sacrifice for you and me

This was no bargain buy... the cost of redemption exceedingly high
It took pain and suffering, rejection and betrayal
It took Calvary's Cross to save us from hell

It took Jesus to pray and to pray and to pray again
Knowing that death would not be the end

So please don't let doubt and disbelief
Be the cause of eternal grief
Take everything to the Lord and there find relief

Now - have you ever
searched for something that had been misplaced?
God wants you to search for Him and extends His grace

Every thought and action
that is apart from Him
Will cause your soul to be eternally condemned

As a gift from God by grace through faith
We are lifted to a special place

We are reconciled unto the Father
Not a bargain buy or by any means a common barter

Oh I know in the natural that may be hard to receive
That's why Jesus sent back the Holy Spirit so we can believe

He has sealed us and fills us with all that we need
His promise is given to every nation, person and our seed

The Good news is that this is no hard task
Just believe in your heart, confess with your mouth, repent and ask

For sorrow He gives joy, for death he gives life
No bargain buy - Jesus paid it all and it was a very high price!

The choice is yours, will you seek the truth?
God is so willing to give you proof

It's in His word and witness every day
It's in how you were wonderfully made
I know that we've all made mistakes
But not knowing Jesus is too serious to take
Even if I were wrong you'd have nothing to lose
But if I'm right it's either heaven or hell... you choose
