Two and three do not need to be, if wiser and controlled, egoless leaders who cared about life and not popularity, were in power.
What message does it sent the world when a "leader" moves in to his residence and the first thing he does is remove a bust of Churchill then blame his anti british stance on his great grandfather being brought over from africa. . .
Whoops sorry. The last one, i love the sound of church bells bringing the faithful together where all shapes and sizes sit and pray as one, together. Equals. the sound of the bells say all men are equal. In my indoctrinated, rose tinted view.

The world does have the feeling of every man/woman/child for themselves, these days. There seems to be some strange kind of isolation that we all are finding a sort of peace within. Shattered dreams are the special of the day. You really bring out all the emotion and meatiness of the situation. Love these and love reading you again.
