The structure I am presenting here is a useful tool that will give your poetry depth and inspiration.

Poetry is a disciplined expression of the written word and the use of structures provide the tools of trade of poetry writing.
Poetry structures have a set of rhyming patterns, metre, grammar and imagery.




The strength of poetry is having both the knowledge of structure and the ability to adapt these structures to create new forms .



Semetric Poetry is a style I created myself and has a focus on repeating the words used in each line .
The poem is broken up into two parts with the each section being a mirrored replica of itself and continues to the finish of the poem .

Semetric Poetry Form



I’m working hard in tough times .
In tough time’s I’m working hard .

I have to guard all my cash .
All my cash I have to guard .

But not a penny have I .
I have but not a penny .

Many are the working poor .
The working poor are many .

Peanuts are free in the shell .
In the shell peanuts are free.

I’d love to see a pay rise .
A pay rise I’d love to see .
