A different approach to getting educated

When I went to school the teacher said he knew ,
there were lots of things to talk about and lots of thing to do ,
and so I learned to use my head and I said what can I and do ,
cause all these things you’re telling me I don’t believe they’re true .


For I can fix a fence
and use my commonsense ,
I can plough through muck and mud
and tune my truck real good .

I can plant seeds in a field
and take what the good earth can yield so what good is a degree to guys just like me .


The teacher he said to me
you’ve got to learn your ABC ,
count on the meanings that are in the dictionary ,
learn to multiply and then
divide by all you see ,
then in the end my friend,
you'll be nobody's fool like me .

I;m nobody’s Fool , nobody's fool . The teacher said to me
don’t you be nobody's fool .
So I did as I was told
and the day that I left school ,
I'd done good and understood
and I was nobody's fool

I counted on my fingers ,
I counted on my thumbs ,
I used used all I'd got ,
don’t want to be no bum .
I know exactly what to do
and this to you I’ll tell
I’ll find my way through life
and I might fall in love as well ,


Nobody’s Fool , nobodys fool . the teacher said to me
don’t you be nobodys fool ,
so I did as I was told and the day that I left school ,
I done good and understood
I was nobody's fool .
