It’s all right
The world didn’t stop
Sometimes
I wish it would
Just stop and let me off
But that’s childish
Not that I’m immune
I’m often childish
But lately reality steps in
Too often for me
And suddenly
I’m all grown up
With grownup problems
Adult desires
Big girl pains
And for a moment
I wish for Disneyland
One more time

A lot of people tell me that I never grew up. Perhaps it was a choice. I understand what you are expressing here, Sue. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis

i know this wasn't meant to bring tears but i could so deeply relate to the desire to sometimes step off--or just go to disneyland one more time--that my eyes overflowed

Yes sometimes we need to and can revert back to childhood...no we may not be able to go to Disneyland but we can go to the local soda shop and have a favorite ice cream treat from childhood, or maybe stop into a book store and blow a couple of bucks on a coloring book and crayons (very theuraputic I've been told) or just go to the local zoo and laugh at the monkeys. Sometimes we can still be kids.

I know what you mean, Sue, life does get tedious, (can't spell that other word) doesn't it . . .
