I am standing on the edge Of an emotional precipice Do I allow things to stay as they are Or do I step forward into the unknown Abyss Fear grips me, of what I do not know It makes me quake deep inside How will I protect myself, or worse In whom could I confide Life goes on or so they say Yet here I stand stock still What do I do to figure this out I stand by my own sheer will Don’t forsake me, or count me out I will understand, someday I will fight These powerful demons in my mind I will make what once was wrong, Right Pen or Sword it matters not As the power within me grows Love and Hate wage war within The outcome no mere mortal knows
This poem is scheduled to be published Winter 2006.

Linnie: some great alliteration in this: ..'here i stand stock still'.. great imagery.. you are so obviously readying to do battle! In such a short time you have grown so as a poet. Make those demons work FOR you.. a powerful and very personal write.. well done! katy.
