I saw you waltz across the wide expanse of emerald lawn You wore a sapphire sky in the indolent air of aging June Sunrays played upon your hair You held her hand I saw you smile like no one can I heard your laughter Its musical notes danced in the dreamy languorous mood of midday I heard you say her name I looked at her I was amazed at her matter-of-factly composure How could she not be in awe of the goddess granting her such attention?
What is got out of this - you wouldn't wish to know!

The expressions of colors and the writings emotional points hash very well--very creative! You must have studied fine art or been involved in fine art at one time or another. The writing is excellent, as well as the use of the symbolism of colors. Thanks for another great writing, Regis. Great expression!
I found 'Wish' on your site map. Of course you wish you had been born different ... just for a moment I think! Woman to woman passion! Just as you say it, Reg. When you say "I saw you waltz across the wide expanse of emerald lawn," metaphorically, I AM THERE ... that wide bushy triangle patch of her grass that I am mowing her down with my tongue! Yes ... my toe has been on THAT line! The artwork enhances your poem. Her name is 'DESIRE.' I know her well ... she is the goddess that you say. Thanks for reminding me, Reg.
OMG regis this is soooooo beautiful. I wish that a man was holding my hand on such a beautiful day, and saying soothing words to me, and laughing and romping. OMG, what a beautiful, picturesque story, in poetic form, you have painted here. Thnx for sharing Regis. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love, peace, & (((HUGS))), Barbie
you are an extrememly colorful poet both in content and context, of course you were born different...

Hi Regis,
Well I found my way here so I can't be that daft.
Tell you what that is a fine hair cut, that would have scared the wits out of any Roman, we just jumped up on Hadrains Wall and showed our backsides it worked just as well.
Back to the poem,
One of the few benefits of getting older, is that we sometimes get wiser too, understanding the complexities of human nature is one of those benefits.
I think you have mapped out in this poem an excellent case for better understanding.
Well Done.

Why would you ever want to be born different? Be happy with who you are, which is wonderful, which is the way God wants you to be. Fantastic sentiments expressed here.
I enjoy reading when the mind is allowed to be seen in its many perspectives. This is well crafted and opens thought patterns.Beautifully written Regis!
A mon avis, tu es parfait, ne change pas!
