Tick Tax

I think this is a great idea - Tax The Ticks!

The wife offered me a TIC TAC

Just the other day

Muttered something about baited breath

As she turned her face away

 

Just about that time I noticed

A tick on one of our dogs

Bloated it had gotten its fill

Much like our legislative hogs

 

That got me to thinking

A ballot proposition for the fall

I think we need a Tick Tax

To control their growth once and for all

 

I’m not speaking of the insect

I’m referring to your leaders

Our sponsor could be Orkin

We could spray these bottom feeders

 

A simple little Tick Tax

Would release an enormous flood

It would put the Red Cross out of biz

There’d be a glut of public blood

 

This of course is metaphoric

But the concept’s based on facts

How many of you out there

Would support my new Tick Tax?

Over here tick-bites often lead the chronic ailment, Lyme Disease, which brings on unpleasant skin symptoms as well as other pains, maladies and general feelings of unwellness and overbearing, enduring fatigue... I think all would support your tick-tax if it were to help in the warding off of our blood-sucking Slime-and-SleazeBall Disease, Patrick, both your and my side of the Pond! :)) xx
