Polishing the Turd

About the only turd that can be polished that I know of, is a moose turd (think bunny pellets on a grander scale). Actually they were varnished, but when I worked in Alaska many years ago, a cottage industry existed that marketed “Moose Jewelry” to tourists. It is with utter disdain that I watched our congress this past week reconstitute this once proud craft into something sinister

Poem Artwork

Donkeys and elephants

Each share one thing

A perfectly functional

Large bore O-Ring

With deftness and skill

They expel written words

Then try to disguise them

Like polishing turds

Let’s tax the rich!

No, let’s screw the poor

Making deals with the devil

That would shame a cheap whore

Though a bad bill is worse

Than no bill seems absurd

Keep your eyes on their offspring

As they polish their turd

Kicking cans down the road

Not performing their function

Elections are coming soon

To this two seater junction

The final flush is upon them

Next November I’ve heard

There’s no voter market

For a giant polished turd

Perhaps we are all turd world citizens, after all.

Then again some of our best thinking is done on the porcelain think tank.

A wry wit, indeed, Patrick.

It's becoming more and more obvious that today's elitist millionaire politicians are totally clueless, and can no longer even relate to the needs and wants of the common citizen. And when we replace them, we just get more of the same.

As for that Moose Jewelry, I've bought my spouse some, but I never told her what it was made from. And right now, I'm working on Bronzed Puppy Poop Jewelry. What a wonderful Christmas gift this is gonna make!!

What are you really trying to say here, Patrick, ol' friend? That no matter how polished, there's nothing but shit down Washington way?

I've heard that the turd precedes hot gasses :)
of which
there is an abundance.
So witty and yet so true.
