There is inside of me

a veritable fool

I know him well

we share many moments

that we share a smile

want to laugh

alas it exploits only a grin

leave it all safe within.

You see it is an urge

to ramp up the occasions

when miserable faces

bedarken the view,

I laugh within at so many solem faces

all so busy with airs and graces

yet I know them well

boot lickers supreme

busy trying to create their

imagined dreams.

It is so funny

though I repeat I dare not laugh

dare not utter

a single word,

this place is toxic

so I laugh within

unlike them
