Who are you…you ancient celestial guide

who deep within…seems to abide?   

Who… are you…so long with me…near

  regardless of the atmosphere? 

Who are…you…that lifts and assists

who did ever exist?   

Here now…here at year’s end

I see a challenge coming around the bend   

It’s a virgin road…the old receding…

  but I dare not step, it’s fear I’m heeding 

  Then, I spy…You…A Sustainer Perfect, Eternal Lit 

and I pause, to contemplate …and sit  

Who…touched me to wake…alone

from where I lay each day… prone? 

 Who… daily gave me breath …

rebuking the shadow of death? 

Who…with every dawn…

 coursed life thru my veins…so rich and warm?

T’was You! O Strength, from Above!

that reached tenderly… with Ray of Love 

Twas You! Who supported my frame

  amidst the sunshine or dismal rain 

Twas You! who reminded me…I was Your Own

when at times…I’d forgotten I’d ever known 

I’ll Follow through Valley Dry or Plains of Dew

it matters not as long as there is…You! 

I no longer care what the New Year holds

what ere it be…You…are in control! 

   Lead on! Lead on! Oh, Light of Lights!

    Your very Presence…fills my sight! 

 Why, You’re Jesus! That’s Who You Are!

     You’re Forever… My Bright and Morning Star!
