Right on time…you’ve arrived Twenty twenty-one!

I must say, I am elated that Twenty-twenty is done

Leaning on Almighty God for strength and truth

once again, defying odds, I gaze…a New Year’s dew

Twenty-twenty, indeed, has been a profound teacher…

molding me farther…into a ‘trusting’ reach-er

Episodes in the past year have really blown my mind

what with the mounting presence of corona’s bind

Which birthed the necessity of masks and protocols…

mandating the need of…isolations…that affect all

God’s Hand is Shown and…purposely…not understood

forcing us to ‘walk by faith’, as The Word says we should

And, of course, I dragged along my bags of ‘personal’ wares

but Thank God, His Carpet of Compassion lined my stairs

Though I swayed at times from concerns of heart…so heavy

Redeemer’s Infusing Love…refreshed, and kept me steady

I give my Beloved Savior all the Praise and all the Glory…

for each breath and lifting of every limb…in my 2020 story

It’s marvelous how ‘perfectly’ He uniquely cared for me

and countless times I had to pause and consider… a Sacred Tree

Where He suffered and indeed, willingly perished…

so that in these days…I could stand, spiritually nourished

‘All things Work for Good’, did become my daily bolster…

as I was surely drawn to…Jehovah…closer and closer

Certainly, I do not know what the new year will bring

however, He is my Guide, yea…‘Of Thee’ I will sing

Thus, 2021 here I come, relinquishing to Him…any human fear 

For this I do know without doubt… Jesus my Protector…is already there
