This morning's pre-dawn walk was more quiet than usual...Summer sounds are beginning to disappear, replaced with the rustle of drying leaves.....

Poem Artwork

Composed as "Odes to Summer"
End when Fall's cold calls......

In my friends backyard it sounds like a full party going on :-) She has a lot of yard space that she let go wild. Wonderful Haiku!

Great Haiku, last time I heard crickets was last month. I went to Roseberry Topping with Jim and Bob when they delivered trout to the lake there. Jackie <> <

Your use of the elements in your haiku is more true to form than most of us. If I'm not mistaken haiku originally was used to praise nature. Could be wrong here but i think so. Anywho, great haiku!
