A South African song ******************************** "Hour At Four" At this late hour at four Came a voice of gladness and a smile To her� who The love of nature holds dear A healing that steals away The sharpness of her pain O� Mother ocean took away once more Her melancholy�in the morning hour at four It made her shudder and sick at heart When all her world of beauty fell apart But from the murmuring of her blue waters Came calmness along For she now hear the wind laughing For she can hear the wind Murmur a beautiful song Of forbidden bounds no more She speak upon this hour of four A loud crash and roar As she falls upon my shore And in calmness brush her shoulder Upon bare feet so cold Like the bareness of her soul At the morning hour at four ****************** Copyright �2004 Tinka Boukes All rights reserved; and may not be reproduced in any way without permission from the author**
