Another word challenge at

"Spirit Musings"

************

“Last Cargo”

 

I pulled my car over


To watch the fiery sunset all alone

And to watch the transformation of great beauty

To a life amidst

Ageless mountains and sea

I could not believe my eyes

And in total amazement

A behemoth wave

Splashed down

Like dinosaur tears rolling to shore

Anticipates a storm for sure

I instinctively pulled my head back

As I saw this gigantic creature crawling

Licking those tears away

A chimera of diluted recollection

I started to weep without joy

Watching the promontory

High ridge of land jutting out into

A body of water

In many shades of jade

To become weary…spiritless

Beneath a misty clouded sun

Licking the last cargo

Spawn washed upon the shore

You did a wonderful job using the challenge words, Tinka. This poem is both beautiful and sad as is the music you chose. The graphic is very cute, also, completing this most professional and excellent package.
