Castle Of Dreams

In Collaboration with GUESS WHO?

Within the castle of our dreams
The debris of the past still floats
The walls of insecurity need to be washed
To eliminate all that trash from within
We need to re-arrange some furniture
And decorate those dark thoughts
Within the castle of our dreams
Old memories need to fade away
To allow new ones to elate each day
Within this castle of OUR dreams
Only words of love to be spoken
Like an avalanche to flow
Beneath the warmest sunrays of love
Slipping from the chambers of our hearts
Warm and tender…deep

A falling refrain
Two hearts together in harmony
Words of love that will be spoken
With meanings real and not just token
No more pettiness or something phony
This will be our testimony
Past debris has left our side
Like flotsam on the ocean wide
Our dreams one day will all come true
Because of me, because of YOU
Within the walls of our castle keep
Eternal love runs so very ....deep

Beautiful Beautiful. This is extremely beautiful, romantic and heart-warming poem. Thanks for this wonderful offerig

Tinka & Walt, a great write of a love stronger than a raging sea, but differences pulled you away from each other. I mulled over this a tad because in my heart of hearts, once respect is lost in a love, there's really nothing but possibly the memories of the passions you two once shared is truly all that is left. Would it work once again, once the two of you are together for a while and the flicker starts to flicer again?

Jean Reeves

How beautiful the pen flows from two very loving hearts indeed. Jean

Karen Vanderlaan

so very well put here-beautiful write:
The debris of the past still floats
The walls of insecurity needs to be washed
To eliminate all that trash from within

I love the message you two have penned. You've put your marks on what is important and what isn't and should be put aside. Romance is the winner here and so are the two of you. New beginnings, fresh starts, and love...can't beat it!

A castle with strong walls to keep out all the ugliness, and to protect the love that's growing inside.

I know that this will come as a surprise - but this has great depth.
-The debris of the past still floats. This is a thought provoking line.

The poem could have stood on the first stanza alone.
