Well said! I must agree with the others also, man is a selfish being that shall pay in the end for his own desires. The earth is delicate and we are relentlously taking.

Stay southern and keep writing.

Nature's food chain is a truly incredible thing, and it worked marvelously for eons. I think many of our modern day problems occur when we humans insist on disrupting this ancient chain, or unbelievably, even attempt to create our own.

As I read this, The thought that comes to me is "Back to nature" I believe we were once one with her, yet we broke that bond in the name of progress. Nature has sacrificed her all and we have sacrificed very little to try to give back to her. And where has progress landed us? On a downhill spiral toward our demise. The time is now for rethinking our destiny. This is a very important message.

As long as a person hunts for the purpose of food/providing for his family/fellow man, I have no problem; just to kill an animal for fun is something I'll never understand, let alone, accept. Very well penned, Susan; brava!

Susan,

Although I am against hunting for sport, when someone kills an animal for food, I have no problem with it. Agree with Fee, below: a hunter should eat what he shoots and abide by the laws. An excellent write of the circle of life.

Well said and as a man who hunted in past and used the meat to feed his family when times were lean I do not begrudge the honest hunter his sport if he eats whant he shoots and abides by the countries wildlife laws.
