The couplets really work here, and it has such a classical feel, no matter what the religion, i dont find it rife with controversy at all, and I'm Catholic.

It pleases me to read a poem that honors the Pen of the Poet; the language, and enriches Poetry... This is a unique bountiful beauty... A true flower from the poetic garden, and I have no bigger word than excellent to qualify this composition!
This "Saturnalia et Sigillaricia" does feasts the closing of 2008, and opens the pages of learning for 2009.
What you proffer the reader here, Sara, is certainly rife with controversy. With regard to the purposeful drollness in the piece, I'll pass on the orgiastic festival with excessive drinking thankyou.
However, given the nature of the season, and despite your ethnic mentality, I am impressed, on occasion, with the unwavering cognitive content that you hold as genuine.
Well thought out. Did you know that on board ships (Navy, Coast Guard etc) it is a custom that the youngest member of the crew becomes Captain for a day on Christmas day? Perhaps that is where that origianated.
