My honey and I are putting together a series of helpful hints books. One of them talks about the many uses for beer, beer bottles, cans and caps. As part of that project, we challenged each other to write a poem about beer. This is mine. I took the serious approach and tried to cover a bit of the contents of the book. He, on the other hand, wrote a very entertaining beer poem. Stay tuned I imagine he'll post his soon enough. Watch for Richard King.

*SHE SAID:* *BEER* Beer is not just for breakfast, and no kitchen should be without it. Use it when you're cooking, flavors will be enhanced, no doubt about it. Beer makes a good batter and who doesn't like to eat. Batter up those onions for a very tasty treat. Beer can make you beautiful, bathe in it, or wash your hair. You'll suddenly become gorgeous beyond compare. Beer can be enjoyed outdoors and is pleasing to the eyes. This book contains a recipe to attract lovely butterflies. Beer can also help with mice, bees and other pests. Set beer traps for those rascals before they make their nests. Beer can help you clean, polish your jewelry or remove a stain. Beer does it all without hard work or muscle pain. Beer can be your doctor too, from kidney stones to tired feet and relaxing with a beer or two absolutely can't be beat. Beer should be at every party, it makes a fun toy, pour it down a slip & slide, and listen to the squeals of joy. Beer can help you meet a new friend. Order a beer for yourself, accidentally spill some on this person and then quickly offer your help. Beer cans should be recycled, or used in other ways. Make yourself a gardening hat to wear on those sunny days. Beer bottles also have purpose, of which there is no question. A candle holder or rolling pin are just a couple of suggestions. Beer bottle caps are the last of our list, from centerpieces to a new door mat, all of your friends will be saying, "Why didn't I think of that?" Beer, its cans, bottles and its caps shouldn’t have trash for a destination Their uses are only limited to your vivid imagination. © copyright Donna Hale Chandler

Too many people drink beer on a regular basis in this apt house, and I don't think it is good for them, but as for the other uses, yes, yes, yes. Good poem.

Beer is an acquired taste, and I love to taste it, especially in that batter you spoke of, and in Welsh Rarebit ~
