Cast not your net, upon this sea Allow for some tranquility It's taken years to calm these waves Row not your oars...keep efforts saved
So old and deep these waters run Your net is fresh...so strong and young For peril lurks, 'neath surface still With currents icy.....laced by chill
Don't break the peace...the silence...here Just stay on shore.....don't venture near For settled deep on ocean floor Is debris, of what sailed......before
And how these old wrecks came to end Not fault of sea.....but...hand of men The sea is mother, with milk of foam That succors ark....which floats then roams
Upon whose surface shines the sun And moonlight...when the day is done That pulls the tides from high to low.....
You have a wonderful sense of poetic rhythm... your rhyme is always enchanting. As someone who has a great passion for the sea, it's lovely knowing that this one will linger... I love the "attitude" in this poem.. Great stuff! katy xox.

"Upon whose surface shines the sun
And moonlight...when the day is done
That pulls the tides from high to low
Raise up your net....it's time to go"
