The peach bloom is truly desired
To weather thru the heat of summer,
But the winds and moons of early fall
Urge on—they won’t yield even a while.
You may search for good men all around,
From of olden days—none of them
Is still staying with us; it is verified!
Day by day, it can’t be helped,
The flowers alter and fall;
Year after year people change,
Transmuting all their looks and souls.
Today, where we raise the dust,
In ancient times
The sea lapped against the rocks.
To retaste our old delights
We have to turn over a new stratum.
