The Realm of Shades

When walking through

A lush and wet midwood,

Setting your thoughts
 
Can easily excite
 
A flight of fancy.
 
 
It's not so difficult then
 
To shed the husks
 
Of your urban mind
 
And find out
 
Some primitive roots
 
Of your instincts.
 
 
From the very thicket
 
The wood's spirit
 
Suddenly manifests itself,
 
And in no time
 
You find yourself transmitted
 
To the unfolded dimension
 
Of the tree long shades
 
And lunar penumbra.

There is nothing like being alone in the woods on a moonlight night to reawaken the primitive instincts we all have buried deep within our psyche. Just like your poem weaves for us.
