Poem Artwork

This range is jagged and not far away—

I'm standing equal with the solemn alps.

There are in the air seventy-two peaks—

Seen from afar they seem awe-inspiring.

The temple with its age-old structures—

All merging with the glow of the twilight.

Wind shakes up the twigs on the pine—

Red Rock Summit is perfectly elegant.

Smoke spews out at the mid-cliff—

The path of immortals is indistinct.

Gray jade sky falls on a hundred spires—

Each one is ten thousand feet high into the skies.

Wisteria vines intertwine every single slope—

One by one, chaining down the hills with ravines.

Your use of imagery causes me a yearning to be on that very spot, "equal with the solemn alps". Beautiful!!

Love ya!

I have stood on one of those peaks. Thanks for bringing me back there in this charming poem. Love the black and white (and shades of grey) graphic by the way. John

With all that gray (at least -often darker) and often ugly, a wide angle on surprisingly beautiful vistas is a relief, Alex. I can stand there, gazing beside you.

Magical. Makes me wish I was there observing the scene.
