Poem Artwork

In the underground bosom, still

There's the way to growing and

Appearing then upon the surface.

His slow coming up accounts for

His gift of prudence and frugality;

He does it inconspicuously wisely.

He has his three treasures which

He holds fast and treasures up,

Which are mercy, frugality, and

What's called 'never showing off.'

Then young sprouts cease to rise;

This is the reason why agitation

Fills up his chest to the brim --

He has got a spark of inspiration

To show his writings to the world.

My words start out by germination, and then I'll let them sit for awhile, or what I like to call, "letting them ferment."

Writing is a form of communication and is meant to be shown off to the world. The question is whether it will be read and appreciated. The writer may never know the answer to that, a devoted writer does not need to know.
