Poem Artwork

Crossing the stream of nothing else
But Eternity itself, I do observe it
From within -- there's only time
That flows irreversibly;
Alas, time never stops for those
Who have lagged behind.

Time of Eternity is nicely dwelling
In your good self, once and for long.
Do not disturb it for nothing,
Just rejoice at its pricelessness,
You deserve it. Leave your Self alone,
Have a rest, do not confuse the issue,
Or make a fuss over trifles.

Sometimes it is warm,
Like your mother's hands;
Sometimes it's cold, like the outer space.
But you have to go through it honestly
To reach Eternity's commencement
At the moment of your full readiness.

Time leads you straight to the Emptiness
Which is waiting for you on the bridge
Spanned between your Soul and Eternity.
The codes of time are met at every instant
While you're walking the tightrope
Above the abyss -- the time flow of Heaven.

Time and again we talk about Eternity,
Time, and Constancy -- the three drops
Of poison that sweeten the bitter pill
Of daily routine and thus produce
Counterpoison in ourselves which acts
As an antidote in each particular case.

Pity the number who are either ignorant of the Eastern convictions, or are deniers of anything but the Western and other Eastern philosophy/religions. Fortunately for some of us, truth is neither a dogma or doctrine that must be delivered with a ball peen hammer... we have just allowed some inner silence to be the voice we hear. Loved this summation of the indisputable.

I think the true antidote of time is of course eternity, just as the antidote of emptiness is infinity. Time only has earth-meaning for us earthlings.

I guess the saying is true; "Time and tide wait for no man."

Interesting work.

Cheers,
Dan
