Enough

When do we arrive at enough

When we are forever seeking more?

Do we ever admit to having enough

When we neglect the one thing we adore?

The word enough can mean stop,

Enough hassle or enough talk.

Any further action there to block,

Talk the talk but walk the walk.

Enough when we are filled to the brim,

I am not sure I know anymore.

Enough to do things only on a whim,

I’ve had enough. Just close the door.

Never enough often means insufficient,

Never enough happiness, never enough peace.

Ever seeking things when we are deficient,

Ever on the prowl thru life without cease.

Ultimately, enough can mean nothing more,

One abiding principle to represent all.

The one true reality I do adore,

Otherwise, we are nothing at all.
