Although today is April 1^st, this announcement is most definitely true , dearest friends and readers! From Quinta da Lage, Portugal, we are delighted to share, with you all, the wonderful news of the birth, at 2 AM – GMT, of the healthy, beautiful filly foal proudly shown in the photo with her mother, “Nougatine d’Or”.

The gorgeous baby’s name is “Chá Verde” (Portuguese for “Green Tea”), and all of us – including her dad, our magnificent stallion “Vert Muguet” – are absolutely thrilled with this most auspicious arrival!

Now, and since, as you may imagine, we didn’t get much sleep last night – and both Joseph and I are still recovering from a bad cold which has plagued us the whole week – we are going to rest for a bit – but will be back soon, to share further news on “Chá Verde” – a truly sublime Triumph of Spring!

Meanwhile, along with warm nuzzles from “Chá Verde”, here go our wishes of a radiant Sunday to you all!
