Raising a dog is like raising a kid, only hairier...

Poem Artwork

When Rufuz was Young…

Got him at a year, seven for him,

House broken he was, so they told us,

First hour in his new home marked his place; did he,

Right on his new moms bed sheet,

His new parents were less than happy, worse was yet to come…

Not long after, standing at the front door,

Nobody noticed he wanted out, till he did squat, just about,

No, no Rufuz, let me get the door,

You stinkin’ pain in the ass poopor…

Oh and not to forget the time I screamed at him for something,

Away from me he ran,

To lift his leg on the solid mahogany coffee table,

Staring back at me with a scornful look, he did let loose,

A flow that would have put Niagara falls to shame,

Okay, Ruf, no more screaming, I am sorry, buddy,

Phew, no more of what ever you drank either; think it was juice…

Oh yea, Rene found that time with the coffee table so funny,

Could it be because I laughed so hard when on her sheet he did pee…?

**laughing** One of my dogs did that, too...he simply lifted his leg against the hallway wall and let fly while I was watching him. Of course, Pugsly discovered that newspapers are preferred for reading instead of discipline.

Great poem!

I think they do it, just to test you out
see if they can get away with it
you have to nib it, in the butt immediately
lol
