Road Department…

Screwing up a Wet Dream,

Is the job of the road department,

They are there to make our drives longer,

Even though in reality, they are trying to shorten them,

Have you ever really seen a road crew, work?

Most of the time standing around, smoking and eating,

Trying to, as it looks, make a decision as to which way to go,

And when they don’t know their right from left,

That direction is really quite hard to actually find,

Maybe if they had more brains than a pea, yes, in their mind…

Busy work it was called in school, these men & women seem,

To have yet to figure out, what it is they are out there for,

To repair a hole in the road, to stripe it or even repair a seam,

All seems to take, that of a whole day, but they made their pay,

And well paid they are, as they are “so good” at what they do,

Sometimes I just want to get out of the car and just scream…
