A review came to me and I was called old, but in jest and I knew that, but it felt like a good idea for a write, thanks Nicole...

OLD…

Old I am, there is no mistaking,

Cold too, when winter is making me shaking,

Told to go places when at work, their making,

Bold, but only at times, I am not herein faking…

Waking quite hard as I seem to get old,

Breaking in new shoes can leave me quite cajoled,

Aching yes is sign of being old and full of mould too,

Braking also gets to be kinda hard, as we too do get so old…

Altogether & nonetheless, we are all getting old; no way can we change this,

We try as we may, but the older we get, the harder it is to take a piss,

Eating the right foods, drinking more water, and that daily movement,

All seem harder as we approach old age, don’t listen to me,

Find an even older sage, they will tell you the same, then you will see…

Old - is a state of mind, they say. But, what the hell do they know about hearing that through old ears? Love your words and the way you string 'em together. - Bill

Hey, Ed.. I like your first word rhyme scheme.. very clever and it works well with your cheeky theme! lol. Old?? What happened to wiser? better? sager? That's my way of getting old.. older.. damned ancient! hehe... You've once again proven that inspiration for a piece can come from anywhere! Good stuff. katy xox.

Old can be gold, like a perfect sunset.
It must be better than the other option..

Ed, I must say, you look remarkably good in that photo for such an old fart.

Love your hairstyle, too, but I hope you didn't skin some poor old cat for that.
