Granted a holiday in the states, but all can join in, no matter where you may live...its a good day to have fun, as anyday we are alive is a good day!

Poem Artwork

Home for the Holiday...

Home from work, hot, tired, but not fired,

Home from the job, on pot, wired and slightly inspired,

Home for the weekend, this old sot, gonna whack off as required…

Working for the rest of July, then a temporary lay off,

How long I don’t know, can’t lie,

Bored will I be, but will get a few things done,

What with this stupid physical problem, I am glad I have no gun…

No I am not depressed, really, just babbling is all,

Will be off half the summer and into the fall,

But that be the best time to swim & surf & have a ball,

Maybe flat broke, but Rufuz, Rene’ & I will drive around and see it all

As gas prices in NJ are heading down, almost a dollar seventy-five is all…

Campground is filled, this weekend, looking forward to be thrilled,

Fireworks and bar-b-ques, marshmallows over the fire, showers with a hose,

The kids they do have fun, girls chasing boys,

Dad and moms wishing they had a son…

So get out there, you writers of mirth,

Have some fun you poets of romance and those of you of girth,

Gonna be a beautiful weekend, no matter the weather,

Go have fun, do some skinny-dipping with daughters and sons,

I look forward to hearing from you all, what you write regards,

This weekend of healthy happiness not spent working on your yards…

I wouldn't doubt one bit that you'll hear me during the fireworks... I squeek, squeal, holler, shout and carry on like crazy! I love fireworks, especially the BOOMERS! KA=BANG! I get so excited I have to lay down on the blanket and rest before driving home.. hehe. Have a great 4th, lovely, sweet Eddie M. Hot Diggity! katy xox.
