Not all have family and like that to celebrate the holiday with, some find it more celebratory to do so alone with a good buddy...ed

Christmas for Us…

Our Christmas tree this year will be sparse,

No presents to cover the floor below,

Few branches to hang ornaments,

No lights to adorn it with,

Guess you could call our tree is a farce…

But the spirit of Christmas does come from within,

We do celebrate this holiday in our own ways,

I do make merry with my dog, maybe going to the beach,

His Christmas present is like mine, staying out of reach,

No neighbors, nor family to bother us or leech,

A solitary Christmas for us is definitely a peach…

So no Christmas lights do adorn our home,

Better for us to just go out and roam,

Doubt with this attitude much will come our way,

Maybe I will just go out and buy myself, who knows,

At the very least I will get myself a pocket comb…

I know the place you are at right now, have been there many times over the years, and its a solitary thing indeed, but just remember this, even though there may not be chattering children, pressies to open, egg nog, and all those things that happen on gatherings, God loves you, we all do, and we are with you in the true sense of the word. AD is unique that way, as we all think about each other each and every day, thats why we log in, to see what we are all up too, as it's not just about writing and reading, its about keeping in touch.
You have mates, that would jet to be by your side and have a xmas drinky poo in a flash, keep that in mind when the blues start to set in ok, as this little black duck knows exactly how you feel.
Love n hugs to you and Rufuz xxxxx
Ch'erie

PS I'm about to run amok in your barn HEHEHE.

Ed you are never alone for the savior lives in spirit within you,and you have rufuz;-). our time is what we make it no matter what day it is. All the decorations etc mean nothing will be in the garbage in a few days, but the mood you set, the feelings of love you offer and receive that is what lives on, even if it's just between you and Rufuz. That's the real meaning of Christmas, how we share our hearts.
