Stood Up…

Came to meet my mate,

Thought she was just running late,

Ordered a bottle of wine so great,

Never did she show, I now know my fate…

Just some dinner & conversation did I wish,

I had already ordered the in season dish,

It consisted of what I knew she would like,

Being a cat, she would have to enjoy fish…

So our relationship might have been from the start doomed,

Still I did before I came to meet her get groomed,

I even did bring her flowers that had in our yard just bloomed,

Oh what the hell, since I did pay for the meal, I totally it consumed…

Never again will I fall for a cat,

They are so independent and sometimes callous,

I truly mean that I do not feel any ill will, no way any malice,

But the least she could have done is call me before I did book a table at the canine palace…
